Ukraine’s Ambassador Yaroslav Chornohor stated that Ukraine is carefully monitoring the reaction of Belarusian authorities and propagandists to Kyiv’s signals. He emphasized that Ukraine will act exclusively in its own national interests.

Ukraine is closely observing the response of Belarusian authorities and propaganda outlets to Kyiv’s messages concerning security threats emanating from Belarus. This was stated by Ukraine’s MFA Ambassador-at-Large for Democratic Transformations, Cooperation with Democratic Forces, and National Movements of Unfriendly Countries, Yaroslav Chornohor, during a conference at Ukrinform, as reported by UNN.

The diplomat noted that the Ukrainian side has been increasingly raising concerns about the security risks posed by the Lukashenka regime in collaboration with Russia.

It is interesting to observe the reaction of Belarusian pro-government media, their figures, and propagandists to the signals coming from the Ukrainian side. It is evident that they closely monitor every statement and attempt to interpret it in a way that benefits them.

He stressed, however, that Ukraine will operate strictly based on its own national interests and security requirements.

I am well aware that every word spoken by Ukrainian representatives is heard both in Minsk and in Moscow. It is then quoted and interpreted as it suits them. But for us, the main thing is that the Ukrainian interest is taken into account.
