The suspect himself arrived at the courtroom in a specialized wheelchair. According to the suspect’s lawyer, Yevhen Melnychenko, his client has been fitted with an Ilizarov apparatus. The defense lawyer also emphasized that his client is currently unable to move independently.

“My client is not very happy to have survived,” stated Yevhen Melnychenko.

In addition, during the hearing, the lawyer mentioned that the suspect is from an occupied territory. Also, according to him, Pavlo Pleshivtsev worked as a driver for a humanitarian convoy and is the father of five children.
